What BotGenomix provides
BotGenomix develops, tests and licenses downloadable automated trading software (Expert Advisors) for MetaTrader 5. A subscription is a licence to download and use a set number of these software products. It is not investment advice, portfolio management, a managed account or a trading service.
You independently choose which software to license. You install and operate it yourself in your own MetaTrader 5 terminal, on your own trading account, with a broker you choose and maintain. You decide whether to activate the software, and you can stop it at any time.
BotGenomix does not provide personalised investment recommendations, does not manage customer trading accounts, does not hold customer money or investments, does not execute trades on customers' behalf, does not select brokers or open brokerage accounts for customers, and does not receive broker referral commissions.
BotGenomix is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (or any other financial regulator).
Fixed software and licence checks
Each bot's trading rules and default settings are fixed when that version is released. We do not remotely modify the strategy, its parameters or its behaviour while you use it, and we do not send trading instructions to your terminal.
The software connects to botgenomix.com (via MetaTrader 5's WebRequest feature) only to (a) verify that your licence is valid for that bot and MT5 account, and (b) send the performance report described in 'Your data' below. The licence check returns only a valid/invalid answer. If the licence is invalid, your plan has ended, or our server can't be reached for more than 24 hours, the software pauses and stops opening or managing trades - it does not close your positions.
If we ever release a new version of a bot, it will be a separate download that you choose whether to install.
Risk disclosure
BotGenomix provides downloadable automated trading software for independent use. It does not provide personalised investment advice or manage customer trading accounts. Trading involves substantial risk, including the potential loss of capital. Past performance and backtested results are not reliable indicators of future performance.
Trading CFDs, spread bets, forex, indices and metals is high risk and is not suitable for everyone. These products are leveraged, so a small market move can produce large losses. Most retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. You can lose more than your initial deposit unless your broker gives negative balance protection.
Automated trading adds its own risks: software faults, connection or VPS outages, broker requotes, slippage, widening spreads, changes to swap rates or trading hours, and market conditions the strategy was never tested on.
You are responsible for deciding whether automated trading software is appropriate for you. If you're unsure, speak to an independent, authorised financial adviser.
Not financial advice
BotGenomix licenses software (MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors) and publishes research statistics about how that software behaved in testing. Nothing on this website or in our emails is a personal recommendation, an offer to manage money, or a recommendation to buy, sell or trade any particular financial instrument. Listing a bot that trades a particular instrument is not a recommendation to trade that instrument.
You alone decide whether to use a bot, which account it runs on, the position size and when to stop it. If you're unsure, speak to an independent, authorised financial adviser.
Backtested (simulated) performance
All performance figures on this site come from the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester using historical data. They are hypothetical. They were not achieved by real trading and are produced with the benefit of hindsight. Strategies were selected because they did well on that history, which is a known source of over-optimism (selection bias / curve-fitting).
Figures assume a £2,000 starting balance at 1:30 leverage with profits compounding, so later months appear much larger than early ones. Your results will differ with a different balance, broker, spread, commission, execution speed or start date.
Where shown, the '2025+ unseen' result is a test on data the bot was not built on. It is generally a more realistic guide than the 2022-2024 backtest, but it is still a backtest. Past performance, real or simulated, is not a reliable indicator of future results.
Demo account and track-record results
Results shown on the Track record page and in our emails come from the founder's demo (practice) account, which uses simulated funds, not real money. We do not currently publish verified live-money results. Demo trading can differ materially from live trading because of spreads, slippage, requotes, execution speed, liquidity, commissions and swap costs. They are shown for transparency only and are not a forecast or promise of what you will achieve.
Live performance figures on your dashboard are reported by the software running in your own MetaTrader 5 terminal. They depend on your broker's data and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Always treat your broker statement as the authoritative record.
Terms of service (summary)
Subscriptions are monthly software licences and renew automatically on the same date each month until cancelled. The price of each plan is shown on the Pricing page and at checkout before you pay. Your plan sets how many bots you can pick: Single (1), Five (5) or Everything (all listed bots). You can swap picks once per billing cycle. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from your account page: upgrades take effect immediately and you pay the pro-rata difference for the rest of the billing month; downgrades take effect immediately and the unused balance is credited against your next bill.
Each picked bot is licensed to your account for use on up to two MetaTrader 5 accounts (one demo, one live). The licence key is personal. Sharing, reselling, decompiling or trying to bypass the licence check is not allowed and will end your licence without a refund.
When a subscription ends, is cancelled or fails to renew, the bots stop opening and managing trades. Make sure you close or manage any open positions yourself. Which bots are listed in the store may change at any time, for example if a bot drops out of the top rankings. This never changes the trading rules of a copy you have already downloaded. Bots you have already picked stay available while your plan is active.
You are solely responsible for your trading decisions, the choice of broker and account, position sizing, leverage, the settings you use, keeping MetaTrader 5 and your computer or VPS running, and for monitoring and managing your open positions. You confirm that you are at least 18, that using automated trading software is lawful where you live and that it is permitted by your broker.
Limitation of liability
The software, statistics and all content are provided 'as is' and 'as available' for general information and as a software tool. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free or profitable, or that any result shown will be repeated.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BotGenomix and its owner, staff and contractors are not liable for any trading losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, missed or erroneous trades, slippage, broker, platform, internet or VPS failures, data errors, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the software or website.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel any time from 'Manage billing' on your account page. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for and does not renew. You won't be charged again after cancelling.
Because the software is delivered and usable straight away, by subscribing you agree to immediate access. You acknowledge that the 14-day cancellation right for digital content then no longer applies to the current billing period. If something is genuinely broken on our side and we can't fix it, email us within 14 days and we will refund that month.
Your data
We store your email, name (optional), hashed password, plan details, chosen bots and the MT5 account numbers your licence is used on, so we can provide the service. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your card details.
Software performance reports: while a licensed bot runs, it sends botgenomix.com your licence key, the bot's product code, your MT5 account number, broker server name, account type (demo or real), account currency, balance, equity, the bot's open profit/loss, and your MT5 account's closed trades and balance operations (deposits/withdrawals): ticket number, time, symbol, magic number, profit, swap and commission. This includes trades on that account not placed by BotGenomix software. We use it only to verify your licence and to show performance on your own dashboard; we don't share it or show it to anyone else, except that the founder's own demo account feeds the public Track record page. It never includes your MT5 password, investor password or payment details. To stop it, remove the software from your terminal; to have reported data deleted, email us.
If you opt in, we'll email you news and updates. You can turn this off on your account page or with the unsubscribe link in any email. To ask about or delete your data, email botgenomix.support@gmail.com.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or to reflect legal or regulatory requirements. If a change materially affects you we'll tell you by email or on your account page before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
